I’m a current college student pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in data analytics at Augustana College. During my junior and senior year of high school I attended all of my courses at Elgin Community College graduating from both in May 2022. I have gained valuable life skills through my experiences in scouting while I was in high school, and am constantly striving to apply the scouting values of hard work, leadership, and community.

1. IT Network Analyst Intern

   Working on projects involving the migration of older layer 2 Cisco switches to Meraki switches, across several subnets on an industrial site. Migrations involve configuration of switches, port channels, and upstream port interfaces on distribution switches. Migrations also require me to deploy switches into an industrial and manufacturing environment requiring flexibility in process and implementation.Implementing a preexisting 802.1x port access policy remotely at sites across the country to better harden the network from security threats. Perform related testing as to not impact production when deploying 802.1xRespond to network support tickets, in regards to site outages, connectivity issues, Wi-Fi issues, network hardware wear and tear, others. Working with users and stakeholders to remedy network issues in a timely manner and create long term solutions to better help KENT function at full capacity.Perform network administrator tasks and work with other KENT team members such as Electrical Engineers and Desktop Services to add devices to the network, and to get them functioning properly. This includes editing DHCP leases and reservations for devices, along with changing port configurations to be compatible with an always changing network composition.
