Oura was founded in Finland with a singular focus: to improve the way we live our lives. As head of health content, I: Own content creation and strategy for blog, email/SMS, and in-app. Write or assign/edit all copy for the above channels. Ensure all content is of the highest quality, engaging, and scientifically accurate, citing sources and research. Create educational and engaging content that is audience-appropriate and strategically delivered to support both members and leads along their journey with Oura, with a focus on explaining and contextualizing Oura’s health features. Collaborate with PR, social media, and paid media teams to ensure accuracy and efficacy of health content distributed across all Oura channels. Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders in creative, product, engineering, and science departments, as well as external agencies. Perform regular content audits and analyze data to inform content maintenance strategy and maximize overall performance of health content.

ABOUT LOCKE HUGHES
I\'m currently the head of health content at ŌURA, where I manage editorial content on the website, email, and in-app. Previous roles included managing editorial and social content at THE WELL, a wellness center in New York City, and obé Fitness, a digital fitness app. I began my career in print, working at the Oprah Magazine, Woman\'s Day, and Shape Magazine. I continued my career in the digital media space with roles at Greatist and WebMD. I also freelanced for two years and contributed to publications such as HuffPost, Thrive Global, Women\'s Health, MindBodyGreen, and NBC News. During that time, I also wrote a book about sleep (Melatonin) and completed a health coaching program at Emory University. I have a B.A. with honors in English Literature from the University of Virginia. I grew up in sunny Florida, lived in the concrete jungle of NYC for nearly a decade, and now call the mountains of Park City, Utah, home. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking with my dog, dining with friends, and teaching yoga sculpt.
