Conduct research for memos on congressional districts and representatives to inform outreach strategies- Provide support in planning congressional lobby fly-ins, including arranging lodging and travel for wildlife activists; scheduling constituent advocacy meetings on Capitol Hill; and leading a delegation of activists in their advocacy training and congressional meetings- Spearhead the data collection and publishing of the annual Conservation Report Card to inform constituents of their elected officials’ commitments to key conservation issues- Assist in the creation and tracking of Government Relations budgets and manage contract administration for the department.

ABOUT LEAH TERRY
As the Government Relations Coordinator at Defenders of Wildlife, I provide support for the Government Relations team in their congressional advocacy efforts and grassroots organizing to strengthen conservation laws and wildlife protections.Prior to joining Defenders, I worked at the Network for Public Health Law. I supported the Network\'s executive leadership with internal and external communications, and researched climate adaptation strategies and equitable access to public parks and green spaces as a part of the Climate Change and Health Equity Workgroup.I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Letters & Science Honors Program with a degree in Political Science and Communication Arts, as well as minors in Public Policy and Gender & Women’s Studies.
