Lisa is the COO for Douglas Business Solutions LLC. Douglas Business Solutions is a Bookkeeping, Payroll and Business Consulting firm in Houston. Lisa has over 20 years of experience in helping companies meet their accounting needs and is a QuickBooks ProAdvisors. Professional Background After successfully selling two other businesses Lisa started another entity in 2007. She created Texas Bookkeepers and within three years her company was announced as Number 2 out of the “100 Fastest Growing Businesses” in Houston. In 2011 and 2012, Texas Bookkeepers was the Houston winner of the “Bookkeeping Systems and Services Category” from the U.S. Commerce Association. She was Named Who’s Who by Cambridge in 2010 and was the West Houston Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year in 2011Additionally, in 2012 the Houston Business Journal ranked her company as number 12 of the “25 Fastest Growing Women Owned Businesses.” As Texas Bookkeepers grew she decided to merge that practice into a local CPA firm. Associations Ms. Morton is an active member of BABC (British-American Business Council). She is a founding member of The Scottish American Business Alliance, SABA, which was established to help International companies gain a presence in the US; Lisa is also a co-founder of The Business 2 Business Network in Houston, helping businesses meet other professionals. She is a member of The American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers; The CyFair Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber, The West Houston Chamber of Commerce and The Village Republican Women. She has served as Treasurer for the Mike Lee Campaign and The Hydrographic Society of America, Houston Chapter. She has served on numerous committees including Women Driving Business and The Zest in the West Festival. She is a graduate of the West Houston Leadership Institute. She also served on the Arrow Child & Family Ministries National Board of Directors and on their Finance Committee.
