ABOUT MICHAEL MARQUET

Currently assisting veterans with disability claims. As a legal extern at EPA Region IV in Atlanta I researched critical issues in support of enforcement actions brought under Federal environmental laws, including RCRA and CAA, representing a combined over $5m in penalties. I also prepared briefs and memos on various legal issues, and prepared fact sheets for complaints. At Capital Marketing Solutions I closed 467 new accounts in 12 months with a 37% retention rate. I was recognized among the top 7% of account managers in the nation for 3 months in a row. At Jaensch Immigration Law Firm I introduced and managed a monthly newsletter that grew to over subsrcibers. I wrote and formatted all content, expanded the email database and recruited approproate business and community partners in the effort. I managed the law firm blog and social media. I wrote and disseminated firm press releases and reports. Due to my efforts our firm was featured on local TV stations 3 times in 12 months. I coordinated speaking opportunities for the attorneys, prepared remarks, and supplied materials to the audiences. I introduced the practice of producing regular video updates on law and procedure, reaching and engaging thousands of new potential clients online. Finally, I oversaw, from concept to execution, digital advertising campaigns with budgets in the thousands of dollars on behalf of the firm. At US Embassy, Dhaka, I maintained high levels of consular productivity despite high employee turnover during summer months. I entered data on all visa applicants and built a new database on political flight risks. I am fluent in written and spoken Spanish.
