Now supporting the SESAR Deployment Manager (SDM) as the organisation appointed by the European Commission to coordinate and oversee the deployment of the SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) solutions into operational use across Europe. SDM ensures that the most mature solutions are rolled out in a synchronised, cost-effective, and timely way across EU Member States and relevant stakeholders. Formerly Head of IT Engineering, Infrastructures ans Platforms, leading the Digital transformation and change of IT and Air Traffic Control platforms, bringing Innovation to key corporate IT solutions and systems. He was leading programs in next generation Cloud Data Centers and manages platforms and infrastructures, focusing on virtualization and Cloud services for legacy and next generation core business services. He leads IT innovation by bringing new technologies - with particular reference to AI and Blockchain - to the ATM domain. He supported company strategy, directly supporting executive decisions for IT business. He coordinated National and International teams in operational and innovation domains. Consolidated experience in IT Infrastructures, Systems and Software Engineering, Cloud Solutions and Cloud environments. Proven experience of Agile and DevOps approaches. Advanced skills in IT technologies, digital transformation, Cloud Data Centers and Cloud based systems (VMware SDDC, VMware Cloud Foundation), virtualization, container technologies (Red Hat), SW development, automation, Integration and continuous SW delivery, design of distributed systems and (enterprise) architectures in key industrial sectors. Comprehensive experience in systems engineering for large scale systems, drone systems and satellite navigation applications. Blockchain, Big Data, AI and Machine Learning expert. He leads national and international teams with over 20 years of experience in the management of highly complex and multidisciplinary programs.
