I retired from full-time work a few months ahead of my 60th birthday and accepted the invitation to joining SGPC as a NED as I saw it as an opportunity to \'give something back\'(not that I\'d spent the previous 40 years \'on the take\', you understand!). SGPC does seriously good work in really important areas (education, health (especially mental health - I say \'especially\' because of the toll that Covid 19 has taken on the nation\'s mental health over the past 18 months) for children and young people up to the age of 25). It\'s a real privilege to be able to help.

I\'m no longer looking for full-time work. I\'m much too busy doing a load of other things, and the \'proper\' work I do for South Glos Parents and Carers (look \'em up - they do brilliant stuff) is plenty enough for me.
