ABOUT LINDSEY MILLER MORGAN

I am a Civil Engineering Project Engineer (EI) at HMB Professional Engineers in the Murfreesboro, TN office. I have experience with standard drawing research and design, TDOT manual writing and training, hydraulic modeling, and drainage delineation. Some of the software programs I utilize are HEC-RAS, HY-8, HydroCAD, and OpenRoadsDesigner. I am a mentor to Tennessee Tech’s CEE Senior Design class where the mentor team assists future graduates on a given design project.Before graduating from Tennessee Technological University in May of 2023, I was involved in TTU’s Senior Design course where I utilized HEC-RAS to model a river for a proposed bridge expansion. The goal of the model was to prove a no-rise situation with the proposed bridge replacement. The design team was able to propose a bridge that did not impact the existing inundation area. The environmental team also used HY-8 and OpenRoads Designer to analyze side drains for the road expansion. My previous intern experience includes interning with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Hydrology and Hydraulics office in Nashville utilizing the HEC-RAS modeling software. In addition, I interned in the Nashville Ardurra office getting exposure to gravity sewer lines and drip field dispersal systems using MicroStation V8i.
