ABOUT LLIAM MORRICE

I am an educator with years of experience, working with learners and staff to deliver and complete educational qualifications within video games development. I have recently obtained my accreditation of being a member of the Epic Games Academic Partner Program. Having received accreditation for the course I currently lead. I have supported a multitude of cohorts through their learning journeys, by delivering and assessing a variety of specifications and criteria in relation to games development.I have experience in delivering continual professional development to my colleagues, through sessions at teacher training days in order to develop their teaching practices. My two most recent awards are the achievement of a gold standard observation, showcasing my ability to teach and deliver content to the highest possible standard through observation, with my second being an award for my mentoring of trainee teachers and the development I have done with them. I have expertise and am able to complete a variety of elements in relation to quality assurance. Having created and maintained the quality files for the computer games development course with leading internal and external verification for the awarding bodies whose content we deliver. I am skilled in both the facilitation of face-to-face and virtual learning environments, having experience teaching in a classroom setting as well as through various e-learning tools.I have educational experience in both games development and education. Having achieved a BA in Education and Training and working towards my MA in Indie Games Development. I am currently a computer games lecturer as well, teaching games design, concept art and 3D art, allowing me to have a wide and varied understanding and skill level that strengthens my approach and understanding of learning requirements for those in the video games industry.
