As Co-Founder and CEO of Robo Bionics, founded in 2016 by IITians, I lead a driven team of engineers, designers, and medical professionals in developing Grippy, India\'s home grown Bionic hand platform. Grippy uses Mechanomyography (MMG) sensor technology to deliver a true sense of touch and multi-grip control, priced at just 1/4th the cost of imported alternatives. This affordability ensures advanced prosthetics are accessible to all, empowering amputees across economic backgrounds. Our mission began at IIT Patna, inspired by a friend’s need, and has grown into a movement to enhance human potential through bionics.Grippy has transformed the lives of over 75 individuals, impacting more than 300 lives directly and indirectly. Users now work in industries, write, and perform daily tasks, regaining confidence, dignity and autonomy. Our partnership with the Bihar Government fitted 3 people and trained a clinic for scalable impact, while MGM Institute of Health Sciences’ clinical evaluation with 10 users shows promising results, reinforcing Grippy’s efficacy. These efforts align with our commitment to social impact, recognised by two mentions in ICICI Securities’ ESG reports and the National Startup Award in 2021. The rehabilitation robots market is expanding to reach USD 1.03 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 15.2%, and Robo Bionics is well-positioned to lead this transformation. We are pioneering advancements in artificial intelligence, brain-computer interfaces, and haptic feedback, as detailed in our blog posts on Bionic Limbs in 20••••30 and Machine Learning in Prosthetics.
