ABOUT LINDSAY LACKNER DAVEY
I\'m a bridge builder, adept at connecting the dots between business actions and value drivers, bringing together communities, and delivering strategy through to execution.Throughout my career, I have seen first-hand the power of industry, the scale required to make our world move. The energy transition is the greatest challenge our generation will solve and it will take start-ups, governments and industry working together. My experiences have shaped me into a resilient leader, who can operate with uncertainty, and is skilled at collaboration, which are skills I believe the energy transition greatly needs. In Corporate Planning and Strategy, I was integral to refreshing Imperial’s corporate strategy. I supported scenario planning, and cash flow modeling for existing and nascent markets. I led strategy activation with Imperials’ workforce. This involved creating a narrative and painting a vision for Imperial’s future. I facilitated workshops for our top 50 leaders and long-term planning teams to gain buy-in, introducing concepts like strategic choices and signpost monitoring. In a recent employee survey, the response rate for “I understand our strategy” had jumped up significantly. I was also responsible for consolidating a portfolio view of Imperial’s corporate plan, inclusive of capital projects. These views supported decision-making for our C-suite and Investor Relations in areas of capital guidance, project announcements, and earnings sensitivities. The strategy work demonstrated the need to stand-up a low-carbon solutions business where I\'m now working as a business development manager, focused on hydrogen, ammonia and low carbon power. I have worked with many companies to evaluate their decarbonization options. I am currently running economics which require translating in-depth knowledge of Canadian policy into value drivers and sensitivities.Post COVID, I was given the opportunity to re-invigorating Imperial’s culture. When people are stressed by situations outside of their control, they retreat to a place of blame. I coined our culture motto “More Good Days at Work” positioning it as something within our control that we could give each other. That motto still resonates at Imperial today. Throughout my career my ability to lead and influence without direct authority has set me apart. The teams I run are often oversubscribed as people are excited to work on the challenges I unearth and appreciate my methods. My skills in collaboration, coupled with my deep analytical skill set, have allowed me to drive change across all of Imperial.
