About Lukasz Luke Kosewski
A huge body of science fiction - mostly anything not-Star-Trek - represents a future in which technology has created or aided the creation of a world with large wealth imbalance, a lack of growth and opportunity, or an outright war between machines and humans. As a passionate builder of technology products for 20 years, I work to avoid that future.I take hard, unsolved problems and turn them into products to benefit society. I\'m chiefly known for prototyping and coming up with proof-of-concepts quickly. After years of doing that on other people\'s payroll, I\'ve now amplified this ability by launching a company - Orbital Electric Systems, building the world\'s first better-than-gas electric vehicles for smaller-than-a-car markets. If you want to change the world for the better by electrifying the over vehicles sold annually via first-rate engineering, come talk to me!Prior to running Orbital, I worked on was what is now known as the Livewire motorcycle. Even earlier than that, I amassed a vast reservoir of distributed system experience, coupled with ability to code in a grab bag of languages (C/C++, Java, Python, Perl, Ruby, C#, x86 assembler, Pascal/Delphi, many SQL flavors, etc.) and work in low-level-OS (Linux/Windows kernel & embedded system/smartphone), networking, build & deployment systems, enterprise-scale infra, and high-level application code -\"full stack\" in the real sense, not just \"SQL + Rails + Javascript.\" I also worked in all manner of companies, from 2-person startups with interns working from my bedroom, 20-50 person SMEs with VAR networks, banks and established private enterprises, through to multi-thousand-employee public companies. I\'ve successfully delivered in all of these situations. What little is left of my spare time is occupied with tinkering with computers and mechanical devices of all sorts. I don\'t update this page and I do a lot of new stuff. I don\'t like Java programming but I *do* like scuba diving, hiking, and motorcycles.
