ABOUT LISA J. MAYDWELL

I am a creative professional focusing on immersive storytelling experiences with an interest in exhibits, interactive media development, site-specific production and installation, visual arts curation, and arts administration. In the last decade, I have had the privilege of fulfilling the role of project manager, producer, production manager, design manager, and stage manager on a variety of projects. They have ranged broadly, from experimental theater productions in the Los Angeles area, to an interactive movie experience for America\'s favorite candy brand, to recreating one the most iconic and beloved spaceship in a galaxy far, far, away, to curated artifact exhibits for a Big10 college. In my work, I draw from an eclectic professional and academic background, which includes studies in theater, art history, visual arts, Slavic languages and literature, construction, administrative support, and customer service. This varied background gives me a strong and broad foundation for my work as a creative professional allowing me to engage with every level of design and production. I believe that everyone’s lives are enriched by the arts. I seek out exciting collaborators from different cultural and experiential backgrounds from my own. I enjoy working with individuals and organizations that break down boundaries and obstacles to reach a wider audience that may not otherwise have access to cultural treasures and events despite close geographic proximity.
