ABOUT LAUREN JONES

I am an aspiring Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) with a passion for the intersection of athletic performance and mental well-being. I graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology, and I am currently pursuing my Master\'s degree in Sports Psychology to deepen my expertise in the mental side of sport.My journey in athletics began as a walk-on coxswain for the Division I Alabama Rowing Team, where I gained firsthand experience in the dynamics of high-performance sport. That experience sparked a deep appreciation for the role mental strength plays in athletic success. Over the years, I have channeled that passion into coaching, spending several summers at the Texas Rowing Center in Austin — working my way from dock assistant to Head Summer Junior Women\'s Coach — where I designed training plans, provided technical feedback, and mentored junior athletes on both their performance and mindset.Today, I continue to work in the athletic space as a kids instructor and supervisor at Life Time Fitness, where I am committed to building confidence and a love of movement in young athletes from the ground up. I am particularly passionate about working with high school athletes, helping them develop the mental skills and resilience needed to perform under pressure and succeed beyond their sport.Whether on the water, in the gym, or in a performance consultation, my goal is always the same: to empower athletes to reach their full potential, physically and mentally.
