ABOUT LAURA A.
From Finance to People First | HR Generalist | L&D & Reward Enthusiast | Payroll-Savvy | 🧠 Mental Health First Aider | CIPD Level 7 Student | Festivals Inclusion & Accessibility Lead; Turning Up The Volume On InclusionI took the leap from crunching numbers to cultivating people in 2020 and I’ve never looked back. With a solid foundation in finance and a pivot in to Human Resources in 2020, I bring both analytical rigor and people-centered thinking to everything I do. With a strong foundation and a heart set on human potential, I’ve built my HR journey on curiosity, empathy and a deep commitment to helping others thrive. I currently work in a generalist HR Manager role, where I get to roll up my sleeves and support the full people experience, but my real passion and interest lies especially in Learning & Development and Reward and the often-underappreciated magic of Payroll.I’m also a qualified Mental Health First Aider, which aligns with my genuine care for people’s well-being, at work and beyond. I bring a human-first approach to everything I do.Currently I\'m leveling up through CIPD Level 7, diving deep into strategic HR practices and future-forward thinking. I’m excited to keep growing and shaping a career that empowers people, drives culture and makes work better for everyone. Alongside my HR career, I’m also a co-founder of a grassroots accessibility initiative working with the UK festival and live events industry to put inclusion centre stage. From shaping access strategies to reimagining festival experiences with disabled audiences, I’m passionate about creating spaces where everyone can share in the joy of live music and community, without barriers and with a firm focus on turning up the volume on inclusion. People-focused. Progress-driven. Heart-led. I’d love to connect, especially if you\'re passionate about growth, wellbeing or reimagining how we work. I’m equally passionate about grassroots inclusion and accessibility, especially at live events and festivals, where I advocate for breaking down barriers so that everyone can share in the joy of community and connection. 🤝 Whether it’s swapping ideas on motivation, sharing insights on the future of work or just having a great conversation; I’m all in!
