It is impossible to summarize what my partner and I have done for this crafty start-up. Let\'s just have a conversation. My partner and I have been 100% responsible for every element of its growth and success: branding, product offerings and design, inventory/warehousing/shipping, social media management and growth, community building, events (in person and online), podcast production, team building and management, project management, vendor and partner relations, pattern design/compositing/publishing, video production, and everything in between. What is Stitch People? We\'re responsible for a wave of modernized cross-stitching that has taken the crafting world by storm: the cross-stitched family portrait movement.Stitch People was started in 2012 as a service-business, designing and hand-stitching customized cross-stitched family portraits. Eventually, images of Stitch People\'s completed portraits began to start cropping up around Pinterest with captions like \"Totally want to figure out how to do this!\" Thus, phase 2 of Stitch People began.In 2014, Stitch People self-published and released it\'s first book \"Do-It-Yourself Stitch People.\" We\'ve since sold over copies of that book, and have expanded our pattern collections to include 14 self-published pattern books and hundreds of individual digital download patterns including holiday patterns, sports patterns, and religious and cultural patterns. In 2018, after four years of incredible feedback, we re-worked \"Do-It-Yourself Stitch People\" and released the 2nd edition—nearly twice as long as the first!
