I’m someone who leads through connection. I bring empathy, intuition, and a hybrid of energetic and calm presence into the spaces I’m part of, and I enjoy helping people feel grounded, supported, and motivated to do their best work. I’m especially effective in fast-paced, people-centered environments where communication, adaptability, and emotional awareness matter.Throughout my years in the restaurant industry, I was often recognized for my positive work presence and ability to lead naturally by example. At Meat Mitch Barbecue, I was trained in the majority of positions at the establishment, including hostess, to-go/carry-out, serving, event service, server training, smokehouse, dish, and most recently, bar service. Being cross-trained across the operation allowed me to step in wherever needed, support teammates during high-volume shifts, and better understand how each role contributes to the overall guest experience.Hospitality has been a major foundation of my professional experience, giving me hands-on opportunities to support teams and operations. As a Catering Intern at Scratch Gourmet Kitchen, I helped coordinate staff, uphold standards, create an inventory and organization system at our home base, and contribute to a positive team culture.Beyond hospitality, I enjoy research, creativity, and collaborative problem-solving. I earned recognition as Best Presenter at a research symposium for my work on tipping culture, where I translated complex ideas into something relatable and engaging. I’ve also contributed creatively in hands-on ways, including developing a special menu item for K-State’s student-run restaurant by blending collaboration, community insight, and creativity.Overall, I see connection as a strategy. I pay attention to people, read the emotional dynamics of a space, and help move groups toward meaningful action. I’m motivated by work that values people, purpose, and impact — and I bring calm, clarity, and forward momentum wherever I go.
