I am responsible for client-facing and internal knowhow and training for all contentious lawyers within the English offices of CMS UK, including lawyers practising commercial litigation, corporate crime, international arbitration, ADR, banking & finance litigation, competition litigation, construction disputes, employment disputes, insurance & reinsurance disputes, energy disputes, pensions disputes, real estate disputes, and technology disputes.My key responsibilities are to:Identify and collaborate on the internal training needs of the London and other UK disputes practices, including for trainees, NQs and generallyDeliver the knowledge-sharing and updates required to ensure teams are aware of all important cases and legal developmentsCollaborate on training, knowledge-sharing and business development initiatives with CMS`s Scottish practices and the wider CMS disputes practiceTake a lead role in identifying, pursuing and supporting marketing campaigns and initiatives for disputes, arbitration and corporate crimeDraft client-facing articles and other legal publicationsManage the identification and dissemination internally of important legal and procedural updates through written materials, training and meetingsI also work with our procurement team to select third party suppliers who can deliver reliable and cost-effective dispute resolution services to our clients.
