Liz Handlin, CEO of Ultimate Resumes, has an MBA from the University of Chicago, more than 20 years of experience writing resumes, and a career that includes a variety of high profile roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Director of Human Resources for APV’s offices in the U.S. and Latin America, and Director of Recruiting for Deloitte & Touche’s Illinois Practice. Liz specializes in writing high quality resumes for senior executives in companies that range from venture backed start-ups to Fortune 500 publicly traded companies. In Chicago, Handlin is known for creating and managing Money Smart Week (MSW) in 2002 while at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. She was honored by Microsoft Corporation and featured in Smart Money Magazine (June 2004) MSW. She is the author of numerous articles on access to banking issues including: Chicago Fed Letter, Remittances and the Unbanked, March 2002, Chicago Fed Letter, Tapping the Potential of the Unbanked – Private Sector Interest Increases, January 2003. Ms. Handlin has been interviewed for and quoted in numerous articles and publications that include: The Economist, The Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, Community Banker, and American Banker. Ms. Handlin writes articles on resume creation, careers, and related issues and these articles can be found on a variety of websites. She is a featured entrepreneur in the book,\"A Cup of Cappuccino for the Entrepreneur\'s Spirit: Volume II\" After years helping colleagues to write powerful resumes as a hobby, Ms Handlin launched Ultimate Resumes in June 2004. Ms. Handlin is an active supporter of the Goodwill Industries, Kappa Alpha Theta, Friends of Austin Animal Center, and Austin Cavalier King Charles Rescue. She and her husband reside in Austin with their 4 Spaniels and a temperamental cat but remain ardent Chicago Cubs fans!
