I have always wanted to work for an organization that supports women and creates healthier communities.The American Heart Association (AHA) helps women live longer, healthier lives by supporting research and education specific to their gender and needs. Additionally, the AHA\'s Go Red for Women movement harnesses the energy, passion, and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease by challenging them to know their risk for heart disease and take action to reduce it. It also gives them the tools they need to lead a heart-healthy life.Despite this success, there is still more work to do to dispel myths and raise awareness in order to empower women to proactively take charge of their heart health.This is why we need support to inform key decision-makers, community leaders, and the public about women\'s heart health so that we can give families more precious time together. I am honored to serve on the American Heart Association\'s Women\'s & Kids Consumer Health team and am happy to connect with anyone working to advance health and wellness.
