ABOUT LIZ THORNE

I am a highly motivated strategic leader with experience in the voluntary, private, and public sectors. I am organised, analytical and meticulous in approach. Career progression to date has led to exposure to various disciplines, at all levels, within organisations and industries of differing shapes and sizes - working for, working with, and managing all aspects of business and service delivery; people and facilities management; strategic analysis and planning; fundraising; financial management; sales, marketing and communications; change management. This range of experience has enabled me to be an extremely rounded and flexible individual with a diverse skill and mind set. I can converse appropriately at all levels, whilst maintaining a tenacious attitude to the routine tasks of any business. I\'m looking forward to returning to the voluntary sector in early 2023. More details to follow soon. I am values driven, hence a large part of my working life has been spent in roles where I have been supporting others - either directly or indirectly. I have driven organisational change and restructure in several organisations and consistently improved results thereafter. I have been in strategic, financial and Human Resources overall control for most of the last 20 years and have amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience. All of these skills are 100% transferable. I am currently studying for my PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and Practitioner to formalise my project management skills - expected completion September 2022. I’m a Mental Health First Aider and Adult Mental Health Advocate, and believe that well-being is the key to a healthy and motivated workforce.
