About Liza Thompson

Hi! My name is Liza, and I am a junior at the University of Alabama. I’m an accounting student with a strong foundation in business, leadership, and client-focused roles. I gained professional experience as an assistant at Caldwell Flake Interiors, where I developed time management and organizational skills while working in a creative, fast-paced environment. I also worked for a local jewelry designer, learning firsthand what it takes to run a small business and provide personalized customer service. At Shalla Wista, I further expanded my knowledge of business operations through a short-term role in retail. In addition to my work experience, I’m actively involved in campus leadership. I served as a senator for the Student Government Association (SGA), representing the Culverhouse College of Business, and currently am the Treasurer for Professional Women in Communication and Business (PWCB). These roles have allowed me to strengthen my skills in financial planning, public speaking, and strategic thinking, guiding me to pursue a career in accounting with a well-rounded perspective.
