About Liza Munson

As a professional fundraising executive and a collaborative leader, I consistently deliver strong revenue results through creative strategy development and oversight of tactical execution. I’m an imaginative thinker balanced by a propensity for efficiency to maximize bottom line profits ensuring a significant impact for critical causes. I served as a member of the national senior management team for one of the largest and most highly respected voluntary health organizations in America. In this role, I developed and led the implementation of numerous projects resulting in millions in revenue growth and profits. Funds were judiciously used to finance life-saving cancer research and improve the quality of life for patients. In South Africa, I designed and participated in fundraising campaigns raising a total of ZAR to support various projects for the literacy organization EduFun. This included a personal fundraising effort to assist disadvantaged students with their nightly studies. Funds raised enabled the purchase of over 600 solar lamps for students living in shacks without electricity. I also engaged EduFun with an internationally recognized online fundraising and donor management platform allowing for ongoing donor support from across the world. While living in Geneva, I provided pro-bono professional revenue development consultation to an NGO providing resources for parents and educators to support children with learning differences. In my current role with Rise Against Hunger, I work with global corporate partners to secure funding to provide nutritious meals, sustainable agriculture programs and life-changing medical aid for populations facing hunger. My responsibilities include new business development, creating mutually beneficial partnerships, relationship stewardship, cause marketing, and delivery of virtual and in-person worldwide employee engagement programs.

Targeting remote, last-mile communities and within global hunger pockets often overlooked by global media and other INGOs, we work by not only providing immediate nourishment for those in need today but also by implementing sustainable solutions that will lift entire communities for years to come. I work strategically with our global corporate clients to create and deliver customized, mutually beneficial partnerships in support of the people we serve.
