ABOUT LIZA LAYNE

I’m a strategic, data-driven leader with over 20 years in the tech industry, including 15+ years delivering Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions across sectors such as e-commerce, financial services, retail, entertainment, and travel. I specialise in building and leading high-performing teams that transform complex data into actionable insights, enabling organisations to drive sustainable business growth.With a strong background in data engineering, software development, and analytics, I bring a unique blend of technical depth and inclusive leadership. I’m passionate about empowering diverse, cross-functional teams and fostering a culture where innovation, integrity, and collaboration thrive.I have served as the Co-Chair of AnitaB.org’s Mid-Career Membership Committee and currently I am a Point of Contact (POC) for the EMEA and APAC regions, I actively champion the advancement of women in data and mid-career technologists. I have been a regular speaker at the Grace Hopper Celebration—the world’s largest gathering of women technologists—from 2018 to the present. In addition, I serve as a Google Women Techmakers Ambassador, further advocating for gender equity and inclusive practices across the tech landscape.I hold an MSc in Business Intelligence & Analytics and a BSc in Computer Science. I am a Certified Scrum Product Owner, a member of the British Computer Society, and an Associate Member of the Association for Computing Machinery.I lead with purpose—harnessing the power of data to deliver measurable results while mentoring talent and cultivating inclusive, future-ready teams.Let’s connect
