ABOUT LIZA ARNOLD
With 2+ years as a dedicated Product Manager at a seed stage consumer company in the mental health and wellness space, I thrive on leading with the question “why” to uncover user pain points, solve for the root of those needs, and drive product my time as a PM at OURS, starting questions with “why….” led to- Streamlining our mental health experts\' daily processes, significantly reducing the amount of time they spent away from couples (e.g. the rollout of new scheduling functionality, improved couple portals, and email automation capabilities in app)- Improving customer retention by increasing the memorability of in app experiences (+150%) and creating new and more engaging ways to interact with content (e.g. nudges to save materials, a single center to retain learnings, and simple ways to share insights)- Creating a new onboarding flow that placed the utmost importance on ease, privacy, and dissolving the stigmas associated with premarital counseling- Skills in management, quality assurance testing, product roadmapping, problem solving, and data driven decision-making- and journey into the PM role was a dynamic exploration of my varied interests (see the Experience section below); beginning with my own entrepreneurial ambitions, then my curiosities about coding and data, followed by my interest in the power of visual design. After that, I got into project management and then became intrigued by how users found great products. I made one more pit stop as an Execution Lead before finally arriving at the Product Management role at OURS. Each role contributed to my thorough understanding of the product landscape and allowed me to answer the question of “why” for myself - why do I love being a product manager? I love being a product manager because I love the art of problem solving, the satisfaction of organizing projects and responsibilities, the ability to wear more than one hat at a time and collaborate cross-functionally, the conversations with users that garner new insights, and the gratification of improving the product experience over and over (to name a few).I’m excited to explore new opportunities and create products that users love. Let’s connect, I’d love to hear your “why.”
