Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium was founded in 1985 in response to the local shortage of scientists, engineers and technicians and is the leading science and discovery centre in the South of England. As an independent educational charity, we are dedicated to sparking curiosity in children and helping families to experience the wonderful world of science and technology both at the centre and through external events and outreach activities in schools and community settings to reach new and underserved audiences.
