About Liz Garvey
I am a water process engineer specializing in water treatment and pumping facility design. During my 6-year career, I have worked primarily on water systems, including treatment process design, hydraulic analysis, piloting, pipeline design, beneficial reuse, and construction management. I\'ve also served as assistant project manager on various projects including AWIA compliance, pretreatment and clearwell optimization, and a raw water pump station. I began my career as a wastewater engineer focusing on collection systems, water quality analyses, and stormwater management. My passion for providing safe drinking water began with my volunteering experience for Engineers Without Borders (EWB) on multiple water resource and treatment projects. I\'ve been involved with EWB for over 10 years and have been on the design and travel/implementation team for multiple projects in both Peru and Ecuador.
