As a Certified Coach I help people make significant changes in their lives so that they can attain greater fulfillment & an overall higher level of happiness-Building relationships & establishing trust; In a brief sample session, I gain an initial trust & connection for the client to make a 6 month financial commitment to the coaching process. Ultimately, the success of the coaching resides in the power of this newly formed relationship-Effective communication; I am trained in various forms of communication. Knowing when to validate your client, challenge their assumptions, play with perspectives, brainstorm, use metaphors, ask powerful questions, reframe, set goals, or simply just speak the truth, is vital in order for the client to experience an “AhHa!” moment. Actively listening to the spoken & unspoken words of the client\'s vision & values is also necessary-Self management; Coaching requires me to put aside all opinions, preferences, judgements & beliefs so I am completely present to the client & moment. Being focused also means not leading the client, giving solutions, or telling them what to do, facilitating the clients ability to find their own path to fulfillment-Maintaining client expectations & holding them accountable; Exploring client actions & inactions equally, without blame or judgment, puts the client in action & provides a deeper understanding of themselves & their alignment to their goals-Expanding client risk tolerance; Starting with creating a safe space for the client to uncover strengths & weaknesses, obstacles holding them back are slowly broken down as I guide them to practice stepping outside their comfort zone. Eventually elevating self confidence & an expanded sense of possibility to achieve their goals-Building & Maintaining a small business; Branding, website design & content creation, scheduling, invoicing, accting & taxes, client contracts, social media mkting & networking were all necessary to build my business.

ABOUT SUZANNE HERMUS
I support parents of teens in mental health crisis who feel overwhelmed and unsure what to do next—providing a grounded, supportive space to think, process, and find their way forward.Most of the parents I work with are in the middle of a situation that feels intense and scary. There isn’t a clear path, and the decisions don’t feel straightforward.I’m not there to tell anyone what to do. I help parents slow things down, talk things through, and figure out what makes sense for their child and their family.This work is personal for me. I’ve navigated significant mental health challenges in my own family, so I understand how complicated and heavy it can feel.I also sit on the Board of Directors for Positive Directions, a nonprofit focused on mental health and substance use prevention. This work keeps me closely connected to the resources and support available to families.In addition, I serve in a parent advisory role with Halespring, a mental health technology platform designed to better connect families, providers, and care teams. This allows me to stay closely connected to the broader mental health landscape and the evolving ways support is available.Before this, I spent over a decade as a corporate project manager leading complex, high-pressure initiatives where decisions often had to be made quickly. That experience still shapes how I show up—I bring structure, perspective, and a grounded presence when things feel heavy and really matter.
