ABOUT LITO MOLINA
I’m a systems and security architect with a passion for solving complex technical challenges and making them work in the real world. Over the years, I’ve built a career at the intersection of cybersecurity, cloud, and embedded systems, working across aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, and industrial markets.I’ve had the chance to work on everything from multi-level security systems for military aircraft control stations to cloud-native DevSecOps environments that help customers develop and secure embedded platforms. At Wind River Systems, I partnered with customers to integrate test automation and hardware-in-the-loop assets, improving efficiency and scalability. I also helped showcase over-the-air update capabilities for WR Linux and VxWorks—contributing to new business wins in highly regulated industries like medical devices and automotive. Before that, at Booz Allen Hamilton and BAE Systems, I focused on Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) and compliance. I implemented NIST SP 800-53 controls, automated security testing, and led OS hardening efforts across Linux and Windows environments. I also authored key accreditation and authorization documentation, giving me a solid foundation in how security, compliance, and operations need to align to be successful. At General Atomics, I had the opportunity to lead a $1M+ program with the Air Force Research Lab, delivering a multi-UAV control simulator and prototyping secure communication systems for next-gen ground control stations. That role showed me the value of combining hands-on engineering with project leadership. What ties all of this together is my ability to bridge technical depth with a customer-focused mindset. I enjoy working directly with stakeholders, whether that’s leading workshops, presenting webinars, or breaking down complex security practices into actionable insights. For me, the end goal is always the same: building secure, scalable solutions that solve real problems and deliver measurable outcomes.I’m always open to connecting with others in the cloud security, DevSecOps, and systems architecture space—whether to trade ideas, share lessons learned, or explore opportunities to collaborate.
