ABOUT LISBETH POLANCO

I am currently a junior at Rutgers Newark Business School, majoring in Finance. I have a strong interest in investment banking, portfolio management, and financial planning. While working as an office manager for a local Mayoral Campaign a couple of years ago, I wore many hats, including training volunteers, canvasing, data-basing, interpreting English and Spanish, and playing the role of challenger during presidential elections. This experience was enriching because I served, understood, and grew closer to my community while diversifying my skills. Here, I refined my decision-making skills, delegation skills, teamwork, and creative problem-solving skills. Today, in my free time, when not working part-time at a local credit union or studying for exams, I enjoy discovering new interests and creating art. My past times involve reading, painting miniature game pieces, tandem skydiving, hiking, camping, and solving escape rooms with family and friends. Shortly I plan to learn how to play piano and immerse myself more into Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I also volunteer for the New Jersey Science Olympiad and create artwork for the \"Free Thought\" journal. These experiences have enhanced my attention to detail, communication skills, leadership skills, and ability to analyze and solve problems effectively. And yet, there is still so much more to learn. I can\'t wait to discover my new adventure.
