ABOUT LISA VAUGHAN
My Dad wanted me to be a CPA and join the family business. That didn’t happen, although I did work for him while attending college. It was when I sat down at the Radio Shack TRS-80 that he purchased in 1982 to move his business to a digital format that I knew that computers were going to play an important role in my life. I’ve had a rewarding career in the field of information technology across a variety of industries, and there is not much I would change about this. Over the years I’ve had opportunities to help organizations build out strong technology infrastructures, implement standardized computing platforms, and create business systems that provide efficiencies. I enjoy mentoring technology professionals to help them realize their full potential, and I hope to be able to continue doing this through mentoring and education for the rest of my career. I am a little freaky about making lists, so this prompted me to obtain a PMP certification which has served me well. Realizing that we live in a world of persistent cyber threats where almost everything connects to the internet, I obtained my CISSP certification to help organizations build defensive cyber strategies. As the enterprise I.T. and cybersecurity director for Hexagon US Federal, I lead a team that supports digital transformation and cybersecurity resilience. Hexagon US Federal is the premier provider and system integrator of Hexagon products.
