ABOUT LISA STAM

I am the founder of SpringLaw, an employment and labour law boutique in Ontario. We provide practical legal advice on all issues arising out of the workplace, including employment, labour, human rights and workplace privacy law. We deliver legal services through both traditional 1:1 hourly or flat fee services to both employers and executives, as well as our monthly employer subscription program and DIY legal toolkits to provide a range of options depending on your bandwidth, internal resources and budget.We assist clients with domestic and international contract and employment advice, drafting offer letters and employment contracts, workplace policies and handbooks, advising on bonus, commission and shareholder plans, privacy issues, health and safety issues, freelance and independent contractors, confidential and proprietary information, and discipline and terminations. I also advise on a variety of human rights issues such as accommodating disabilities in the workplace, sexual harassment, discrimination and gender transition.I frequently speak on and advise clients about the impact, risks and opportunities of technology, AI, online content and social media legal issues, including issues related to workplace misconduct, privacy breaches, evidentiary weight of social media information, social media crisis management, cross-jurisdictional and global issues with social media, and general strategy on handling technology and social media in business.I am constantly driven to improve HOW we deliver our legal service, embracing the function that tech and automation can play in providing quicker, better, more accurate and affordable legal solutions.
