Adjunct Instructor (On Ground and Remote Learning) Reputation Management builds on the foundational content of audience, ethical communication, and decoding and encoding of information. Understanding how a reputation is built, maintained, enhanced, and/or destroyed is rooted in a healthy understanding of theoretical and practical knowledge of related theories. The course will expose students to the tenets of the following theories: social relationships, relationship rules, social learning, and transformative relationships. The class structure works on the student\'s reputation and repair while understanding the importance of overall reputation in a globalized world. Fundamentals of Info Technology provides the student with an understanding of computers and the impact of information technology on organizations and society. The complexity of designing effective information systems is discussed, and the student learns to compare, analyze, and evaluate information. Students will examine social, legal, and ethical issues involving privacy, intellectual property, health concerns, and accessibility. Intercultural Communication focuses on building relationships with diverse groups of people. Attention is given to multicultural and ethical awareness, leadership styles, small group processes, and problem-solving methods. We examine personal and societal biases and their role in everyday life. Public Speaking and Persuasion assists students in refining research and writing skills, argument research and persuasion, and developing appropriate computer-assisted presentational materials to enhance the delivery of speeches. Professional Communication in the Workplace works with students to explore the importance and practice of adapting communications in a globalized business world. Teach students how to utilize MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as communication tools.
