WORK HISTORY
Head of Tax Technical @Pkf-Francis Clark Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers
I am involved with matters of tax policy for the firm, monitoring tax risk and tax standards within the practice as well as providing technical support to the practice, advising on new legislation, consulting on complex cases and creating tax technical training for the practice. In addition, my team works on a number of fact sheets and publications for clients, as well our Budget and Finance Bill commentary. I am a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and a virtual member of the CIOT succession taxes technical sub-committee. I am also a member of the ICAEW private client technical sub-committee inheritance tax working group and the CIOT/ATT joint tax standards committee. Whilst the work of my department covers most areas of tax, I continue to specialise in trust taxation, pre-owned asset tax and inheritance tax and consult on complex client cases referred to me by the tax practice.
