ABOUT LISA KLEINER WOOD

I received my bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 1994 and graduated cum laude from Marquette University Law School in 1997. I am currently a Shareholder with Davis & Kuelthau, s.c. and am a member of the Corporate and Real Estate Team in the Milwaukee office. I am currently the co-chair of Davis & Kuelthau, s.c.\'s Real Estate Team and was previously the chair of the Food and Beverage Industry Team. My practice consists of commercial real estate, corporate and general business matters, food and beverage industry related matters, construction law, commercial landlord-tenant law and leasing, title insurance defense and financing. In the real estate area, I have worked on residential, commercial and mixed-use condominium developments, subdivision developments, complex real estate transactions, commercial landlord/tenant matters (including leasing), section 1031 like-kind exchanges, construction contracts and construction lien law. I represent lenders in structuring, negotiating and drafting of all types of commercial transactions, real estate lending, asset based lending, leasing, file reviews of troubled or defaulted loans, restructuring, workouts and liquidations of troubled or defaulted loans. I also represent clients in business transactions, including acquisitions and mergers and sales of businesses. Bar admissions include: State of Wisconsin and the Federal Courts of the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. Community activities include membership in the Milwaukee Bar Association, State Bar Real Property, Probate and Business Sections, the Association for Women Lawyers, and TEMPO Milwaukee. I was also on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners – Greater Milwaukee, Inc, for five years and served as the Association\'s President in 20••••06.
