Experience
Vice President, Learning & Community
Dec 2019 — Present
As Vice President of Learning and Community at Shedd Aquarium, I lead the the vision and direction for five departments and 50+ staff and contribute to Shedd\'s senior leadership team. Together with dozens of community partners, we are working to address racial and socioeconomic inequity in education and access to nature, combatting disparities and developing the next generation of environmental champions. By 2030 we aim to provide opportunities for 1.85M young people to engage in place-based and project-based environmental education and action in their communities, from river habitat restoration to plastic reduction campaigns to advocacy for science-based climate solutions.
