ABOUT LISA ERSPAMER
I’m an award-winning Executive Producer and the former Chief Creative Officer of Oprah Winfrey Network, with a long track record of developing and producing nonfiction content. I currently run Lisa Erspamer Entertainment (LEE), a production company dedicated to telling impactful, talent-driven stories in the nonfiction space. I also founded Happy Street Ventures, a VC fund dedicated to supporting early-stage start-ups, and I’m proud to have championed the growth of four companies to successful exits.Since 2012, I’ve led the team at LEE to produce multiple critically acclaimed projects, including feature docs GABBY GIFFORDS WON’T BACK DOWN, WHITNEY, and MY LIFE, 5x-Emmy nominated talk series PICKLER & BEN, and New York Times bestseller A LETTER TO MY MOM, part of the A LETTER TO… anthology series. I also work with brands, including Starbucks, Kroger, and Pinterest, to produce branded content and advise on influencer partnership strategies.Prior to founding LEE, I spent 20 years working with Oprah Winfrey, initially as the Co-EP of THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW, and later as the Chief Creative Officer and EVP Production & Development at the inception of OWN, where I greenlit 600 hours of original programming to launch the network. I love coming up with new, bold ideas and telling dynamic stories that connect with audiences and make an impact. I’m also passionate about working with talent, from A-listers to influencers, and matching the right talent with the right project or brand. I enjoy sharing my insights as a public speaker and thought leader – I’ve spoken at the NATPE Convention, Realscreen Summit, Sundance Film Festival, TCA Press Tour, Cannes Film Festival, Disney Spark, Disney Social Media Moms Conference, and other events.
