DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:A. Represents the Board of Directors and Chamber membership at the local,regional, and state level on various boards/committees, primarily to addressissues related to economic development, tourism, transportation, and othermatters.B. The President/CEO is responsible for developing the Chamber budget and relating budget to program goals. As approved by the Board, the President/CEO is responsible for all expenditures within the framework of the budget. The President/CEO will prepare monthly financial statements of income and expenses. The President/CEO will ensure that financial records of the Chamber are audited annually. The President/CEO will seek maximum staff efficiency in all financial procedures.C. The President/CEO manages Chamber staff, including decisions to hire, terminate, promote, or discipline employees. Assures that relationships of all staff members are kept on a professional level whether among staff or with the public. Is responsiblefor annual evaluation of staff performance through written and verbal review.D. Implements the directives and completes projects and tasks of the Chamber Board of Directors. Makes recommendations to the Chamber Board concerning directions for the Chamber.E. Supervises the preparation of notices, agendas, and minutes of meetings ofthe Board and its committees. Serves as a non-voting member of the Boardof Directors, Executive Board, and all Chamber committees.F. Under the direction of a constantly evolving Board of Directors and an annually changing roster of officers, the President/CEO is responsible for maintaining continuity and consistency in programming. Based on proper research of community needs, the President/CEO must anticipate emerging and long-range problems and recommend Chamber and community programs to meet such problems.
