ABOUT LISA WRIGHT
With a foundation in both non-profit and for-profit finance, my goal is to use CDFI and socially responsible investing to support the fight for a more inclusive economy, and social and racial justice. I lead Opportunity Finance Network\'s (OFN\'s) CDFI investment and portfolio management team. Managing over $450 million of capital across several funds, including our recently launched Finance Justice Fund. OFN\'s Finance Justice Fund addresses long-standing issues of disinvestment, the racial wealth gap, and persistent poverty across the U.S. The fund will bring $1 billion of capital from corporate and philanthropic partners to rural, urban, and Native communities most underestimated and underserved by mainstream finance. Overall, OFN manages over $950 million of capital, including our role supporting a major U.S. Treasury Department CDFI program.Before joining Opportunity Finance Network (OFN), I consulted for organizations in the community development finance and impact investing sector. I served on OFN’s investment committee. I also evaluated the social impact and financial strength of CDFIs as an Aeris Insight analyst, monitored Program Related Investments (PRIs) for foundations, and underwrote loans and other social impact investments. I have developed due diligence frameworks for impact investments and analyzed capital structures for potential new investment vehicles. I have also consulted for Compass Pro Bono providing strategic pro bono consulting to non-profits. My previous experience includes time as an Associate Director at Standard & Poor’s assessing corporate credit risk and analyzing private equity real estate investments at The Carlyle Group. I began my career with PwC and earned my CPA designation.
