About Lisa W. Yue
I have over 20 years of leadership experience in the corporate and nonprofit healthcare sectors. I am a passionate advocate for patients and caregivers and personally motivated to improve the lives of individuals with chronic and complex diseases. This has evolved from own personal experience of being a caregiver advocate, founder of a patient advocacy group, and patient advocacy and engagement lead at a pharmaceutical company. I have a deep understanding of what it takes to build collaborative and trusting relationships with patients and the medical community. I focus on understanding the each patient\'s diagnostic and treatment journey, and serve as a strategic advisor to internal teams to ensure that the patient perspective is incorporated into the development of corporate programs and campaigns. Through partnerships with professional medical societies, patient advocacy groups, and health policy organizations, I have had the opportunity to educate communities, highlight the patient experience, and advocate for equal access to screening services and medical treatments. Before transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry, I established the Children\'s Cardiomyopathy Foundation (CCF), a national patient advocacy organization focused on pediatric cardiomyopathy. In an effort to standardize medical care and improve health outcomes for children with cardiomyopathy, more than 65 research studies were funded, resulting in 285+ published scientific manuscripts and meeting abstracts. Through strategic partnerships with academic medical centers, healthcare providers, professional medical societies, health policy organizations, disease advocacy groups, and federal agencies, CCF has been a leader in raising awareness, advancing research, educating key stakeholders, and influencing health policies.Prior to the Children\'s Cardiomyopathy Foundation, I managed global consumer brands at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Walt Disney Studios, McDonald\'s, and Kraft Heinz. I hold a B.A.Sc. from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in International Business and Finance. I also have certifications from Cornell Weill in Drug Development & FDA Regulations and Investigational Drug Application (IND) Submissions.
