The Timms Social Skills Program is the brainchild of Lisa Timms. Lisa has a Master of Science degree in Special Education from the University of Scranton and has been working with children and teens with various disabilities since 2004. The program was born when Lisa began teaching for an online school in Pennsylvania and realized there were a number of students enrolled in the school who were no longer receiving any social interaction. She looked for a program to fill the need but could not find anything so she decided to write the curriculum and develop the program herself. Lisa also has a son who was diagnosed with ADHD, an anxiety disorder and an auditory processing disorder. Her son has been her inspiration on her journey to help other individuals.
