Engineer responsible for driving sales and volume by generating and implementing new and innovative packaging programs while identifying, supporting, and implementing quality, cost savings, and sustainability initiatives. Successfully served as engineering lead on technically challenging internal can coating project (Frost Brew Liner) for both domestic and international markets. Worked successfully with many functional groups / suppliers to make this a successful project. Can sales increased by 9% as a result of project. Served as technical lead on Tube Vented End project, the first major can innovation since the introduction of the aluminum can. Project was two years in the making and required development of complicated yet easy to understand timeline for both domestic and export versions. This project, combined with Frost Brew Liner resulted in 18% growth and $112 MM incremental profit. Lead packaging engineer on thermochromic metal deco ink project. Successfully led group of challenging personalities from concept through implementation. Project was introduced on 24 oz cans and was responsible for 13% sales increase of this size can. Successfully implemented ink on all additional can sizes for both domestic and international markets. Served as technical lead on thermochromic tab, closure, and crown projects. Designed test plans, performed testing, managed multiple suppliers to ensure success. Proactively researched and began testing an alternate process plan for tab coating in case current process failed. Initiated and led new design project for aluminum pint packaging. New design allows consumer to see the aluminum pints.
