ABOUT LISA ROBERTS
Learning always, but particularly about leadership, finance, low-carbon community development, nonprofit management, nonmarket housing, and how to grow edible perennials. I hold a Masters in Development Economics (2004) and a BA Hon on International Development Studies, both from Dalhousie University. Fluent in French and Spanish. Glad to entertain invitations to speak in Halifax. I came to politics after a career as a journalist. As an MLA, as I served as the NDP critic for housing, energy, natural resources, the Office of Immigration, amongst other files. I also served on the Public Accounts Committee. In the non-profit sector from 20••••24, I advocated for the school lunch program and helped to engage non-market property owners in considering their potential to address our housing needs. I believe that we\'re all better off when we\'re ALL better off.
