   Responsible for developing and managing the property/casualty risk financing program and executing the enterprise risk management program for a dynamic, privately held Pacific Northwest company providing transportation and logistics services throughout the U.S. and Caribbean. Saltchuk is a family-owned, diversified transportation and distribution company headquartered in Seattle and is ranked among the largest privately held businesses in Washington. Saltchuk companies provide air cargo, domestic shipping and logistics, international shipping and logistics, marine services, petroleum distribution and trucking services throughout North America. Saltchuk is a values-driven organization, committed to safety and taking care of its employees, communities and environment. As Senior Director of Risk Management, my key responsibilities are focused towards risk financing for Saltchuk Resources and its six (6) business units, along with executing Saltchuk\'s enterprise risk management program- Develop risk transfer and risk retention programs that optimize the cost of risk while accommodating the varying risk appetites of Saltchuk and its business units- Work collaboratively with Saltchuk business units to develop risk financing programs- Purchase property/casualty insurance for Saltchuk companies, including marine, cargo, aviation, workers\'​ compensation, U.S. Longshore & Harborworkers, property, management liability and other coverages- Meet regulatory insurance or self-insurance requirements- Work collaboratively as a member of Saltchuk\'s ERM Committee to execute and update the ERM Plan- Participate in risk assessments and ERM discussions / deep dives- Manage the risk management information system (RMIS)- Analyze and resolve complex coverage and claims issues / concerns- Manage risk assessment and insurance review for acquisition due diligence work, as needed- Develop and manage the Business Continuity Plan.
