ABOUT LISA MAURICIO
My career has been rooted in expanding educational opportunities and building strong, meaningful partnerships with schools and communities. I’ve spent years developing programs that help high school students see what’s possible for their futures, and creating training and resources that make the college application process more accessible and less overwhelming for everyone involved.I’ve taught at both the high school and university level, and I\'ve helped write and teach courses in California credentialing programs for future teachers and counselors. My work in high schools has ranged from college counseling to teaching English Literature in both traditional and start-up charter settings, always with a focus on student-centered, equity-driven learning.As a first-generation college student, I understand how life-changing the right support can be. That experience drives my commitment to helping students navigate the college process with confidence, clarity, and a strong sense of possibility.
