About Lisa Landis

I began my career in the construction industry in 1998 after serving in the US Navy aboard the USS Samuel Gompers stationed in Alameda, CA.I took a position at a small construction company as the office administrator. This position offered me the opportunity to learn about the industry and wear many hats assisting the owner, accountant, and project managers. I was able to learn the innerworkings of these roles and how they compliment each other to complete the projects we were working on at a nearby defense contractor campus.Through relationships I had built, I received an opportunity to work for a start-up, D-B division of a large, national design firm. This position was a huge stepping stone for me as I was able to split my time between the office and the jobsite, giving me valuable insights of how buildings are built in the real world, with real challenges.Since then, each position I have held has allowed me to grow, be mentored and glean invaluable perspective and experience. All of which I have used in my role in Business Development & Marketing.I once had a company president tell me that I was a Jack-Of-All-Trades and a master of none, which I immediately took as an insult. But, I soon learned that this was a huge compliment, because I have the ability to be flexible and successful at the same time. I am an out-of-the-box thinker/problem solver.
