ABOUT LISA LACHANCE
Lisa is a passionate advocate for improving the health of children, youth, and communities. lisalachance.ca @LisaLachance3 wisdom2action.org Lisa is President of Wisdom2Action Ltd (since April 2013) and is currently a PhD Candidate (ABD) in Health from Dalhousie University. She is a recognized KMb and youth engagement expert. Lisa has facilitated participatory community-building and knowledge-sharing workshops for thousands of people and led mentorships with non-profit organization to increase their use of evidence and evaluation. Lisa started her in the public sector, working at the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) where she promoted children’s rights and participation worldwide. She returned to Halifax in 2008, as the inaugural Director of Policy for the Nova Scotia Department of Finance. She has consulted for Canadian, international, and United Nations organizations on children’s rights and gender equality projects. In 2018, Lisa started the process of transitioning Wisdom2Action from government support to a social entreprise-Experience in supporting organizations to address challenging issues with a combination of management expertise and creative facilitation approaches- Solid experience in developing results-focused policies, programs and strategic planning processes - Strong ability to analyze situations and trends in and recommend creative solutions to senior management- Proven capacity to collaborate with diverse partners to build momentum and move issues forward- Excellent oral and written communication skills (bilingual English/French)- Highly organized with strong self- initiative, with ability and willingness to undertake challenging projects.
