Responsible for advising approximately 2,500 employees, managers, and elected officials of Federal, State, and local employment laws, rules and regulations, including the terms of a Federal Consent Decree. Work involves directing investigations for complaints of unlawful discrimination and unfair treatment, developing County policies, and creating equity and inclusion programs. Partner with executive/senior leadership to develop the strategic direction and change management for the County. Generate annual and semi-annual metric reports. Rebranded the Affirmative Action Office to the Equity and Inclusion Division. Expanded the staff and transitioned to the Business Partner model. Streamlined the investigation process and eliminated the backlog of complaints. Implemented a Case Management system for complaint tracking and data reporting.
