About Lisa Inks
Lisa Inks works to strengthen democracy, advance social change, and connect people across differences in Indiana and throughout the country. At Women4Change Indiana, she is a Special Projects Coordinator, advancing initiatives in membership activation, special events, and campaigns. At UR Action, she leads Evidence and Learning and is also Co-Director for Uniting for Action civic engagement programs. Prior to this, she led global peacebuilding, violence prevention, and governance strategy, program design, implementation support, and thought leadership at Mercy Corps through various roles as Senior Specialist, Researcher, Director of Peace and Conflict, and Senior Director of Peace and Governance. Prior to her role on the global technical support team, she was the Director of Conflict Management Programs for Mercy Corps in Nigeria, where she oversaw the strategy and implementation of a portfolio of programs and research working at the intersection of peacebuilding, economic development, and governance. In addition to working as Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Advisor for Mercy Corps in Nigeria, she has worked as Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at IREX and as Program Manager for Global Nomads Group. She has a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University.Her recent publications include Standing United in Wisconsin: Promoting Peaceful Elections in a Contested State, How contact can promote societal change amid conflict, Does Peacebuilding Work in the Midst of Conflict? Impact Evaluation of Peacebuilding Program in Nigeria; “We Hope and We Fight”: Youth, Communities, and Violence in Mali; “Motivations and Empty Promises\": Voices of Former Boko Haram Combatants and Nigerian Youth; and a series of studies on farmer-pastoralist conflict in Nigeria.
