About Lisa H. Brooks

Lisa Brooks is a resource development and communications strategist with a broad experience in the non-profit Los Angeles community. In her capacity as Executive Director of the Glendale College Foundation, she works with a board, staff, faculty, and community volunteers to attract ever-increasing resources that help students thrive. She is a passionate supporter of the community college system in California. Lisa holds a Masters in Science (Social Work & Administration) from the London School of Economics and a Masters of Fine Arts (Creative Writing) from Antioch University Los Angeles. She is on the board of the Network of California Community College Foundations, and Vice President of Glendale Kiwanis. She is also a contributing member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Specialties: Endowment building, major gifts, legacy gifts, branding, web development, corporate giving, training, mentoring, media relations.

   The mission of the Foundation is to raise money for Glendale Community College and bring visibility to the campus. This is a spectacular campus nestled in the Verdugo Hills in Glendale, California with over students annually whose lives are being transformed. This college, along with all the other community colleges, is at the heart of our future economic success, and is a critical link in providing access to higher education for people from all walks of life.
